fog? smog?

im not sure which it was today, but it called for some photographing.

one of the best things in life...

...is stumbling upon old photos you had long forgotten about. and it just happened to me. this is a picture i took while driving in seattle the day after christmas. moments like this, my friend, are hard to come by.

So for all of you who don't know know about it, there is an annual Festival of Colors down at this really great hindu temple in Spanish Fork, Utah. thooooousands of people go every year and throw colored fairy dust in each others eyes and belly buttons ...all the while chanting...who knows what we are really all chanting. i really cant imagine anything better

ohhh just a little poem I wrote:

broken pipe leads to wet carpet.
wet carpet leads to moldy carpet.
moldy carpet leads to moldy aura.



since my little basement isn't living up to its potential lately, I thought it would remind myself of one of its redeeming qualities--this fancy little fireplace of ours.






dont worry mother, the problem has been addressed.

march madness...

yeah this snow is madness. 50 degrees one day and snow the next. which reminded me that I might not have many more days to photograph the snow. snagged these before it started melting away today.
